Glory of Brij Mandal-
Introduction-
In ancient times, at the time of random disaster, a demon
named Shankh appeared. That demon stole the book of Vedas from Brahma Loka.
Without the Vedas the gods became powerless. Lord Shri Hari fought with a
Shankh in the form of a fish. He hit Hari's chest with his head. In anger, Sri Hari
cut off his head with his chakra. Shankh fired his prong at Shri Hari and Shri
Hari cut his body into hundreds of pieces with his Chakra.
After killing the Sankh, Shri Hari went to Prayag and gave the Vedas to Brahmaji. He went to Prayag and performed Havan and called all the Gods of Prayag and made himself the king of the pilgrimages.
The umbrellas of pryagraj are made of
banyan tree. Pryagraj worships both Ganga and Yamuna . All the pilgrims
perfomed puja and brought more gifts. But Brij did not reach. This angered the
pilgrims.
Prayag came to Lord Vishnu and said, I have
come to serve you. You have made me the king of pilgrimages, but Mathura Mandal
has despised me.
Sri Hari said, "I have made
you the king of pilgrimages and Mathura Mandal is my home. I have not made you
the king of my own house. Mathura Mandal is a divine place. It will not be
destroyed even in the future."
Tirtharaj felt very ashamed and he worshiped and
circumambulated the Mathura Mandal. And went to his place.
