Introduction to Shri Krishna

 


The famous deity of Hindu religion is Shri Krishna. Shri Krishna is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. He is a complete from consisting of Sixteen art. He imparted knowledge to human through his activities.

              Shri Krishna was born in Mathura. His parents’ names are Devaki and Vasudev. His elder brother is Balram. He was brought up at the house of Nand Baba and mother Yashodha. He is also called Yasodha Nandan.

Krishna’s pastimes involve the sacred love, devotion and dedication of Radha and Krishna. It describes Raas Leela with Radha and Gopis.

 Mathura, Vrindavan and Dwarka places of his leela. Krishna explained the essence of life. He destroyed unrighteousness and established  righteousness. Krishna gave the knowledge of victory to Arjun in Kurukshetra. Which is known by the whole world as shri Madh-Bhagwat Geeta.

Krishna is known by many names like –Gopal, Kanhiya, Makhanchore, Kesav, Murari, Madhav, Vasudev, Nandlal, etc.

 Krishna is the supreme Yogi . He gave texts like Mahabharata for human welfare and religion.
